Lake Conroe Waterfront Property Cleanup Guide

Lake Conroe is a roughly 21,000-acre reservoir on the West Fork San Jacinto River, and the north and west shorelines — mostly in and around Willis and Montgomery — carry a real mix of long-time lake houses, newer waterfront builds and seasonal cabins. Waterfront property cleanup has its own quirks compared to a standard in-town job, and here's how we plan around them.

Dock, deck and boathouse debris

A rotted dock, an old boathouse coming down, or a deck replacement near the water produces material that's often waterlogged, treated lumber, and sometimes tangled with old hardware — different in character from a typical household remodel. Treated lumber and hardware are fine in a standard container, but flag the scale of the job when you book, since waterlogged wood is meaningfully heavier than the same material dry.

Getting a truck close to the water

Not every waterfront lot has a straightforward, paved approach all the way down to the shoreline, and some lake-access roads are narrower or steeper than a standard suburban street. Our drivers will work with you to find the closest placement that a roll-off truck can actually reach — sometimes that means the container sits up near the house rather than right at the water's edge, with material carried up rather than the truck coming all the way down.

Seasonal timing around the lake

Lake Conroe sees real seasonal boat traffic and lake-access congestion, particularly on spring and summer weekends, which can affect how easily our truck reaches a lakefront property on a busy day. Booking a weekday delivery, or an early-morning slot, tends to be the smoothest option during the lake's busiest stretch. Renovating an older lake house

A good number of the homes along Lake Conroe's shoreline are older cabins and lake houses getting a modern renovation — new decking, updated interiors, or a full teardown-and-rebuild. Sod, landscaping and shoreline debris

Landscaping work near the water — clearing brush, removing old retaining walls, regrading a slope down to the shoreline — is common on lake properties and handles well with a dedicated yard-waste container. Most dock and deck removals fit comfortably in a 15 or 20 yard, since the material is bulky but not always excessively heavy unless it's been sitting in the water a long time.
